Youngstown Weavers Meeting

The Youngstown Area Weavers will meet at 10 am on Wednesday March 10 at the Colonial Inn on the Canfield Fairgrounds. It’s been a while so bring show & tell of what you have been weaving this past winter.

The program will be weaving patterns into weavette squares. Bring a weavette (or weave-it or zoom) loom with weaving needle, worsted weight yarns & scissors. The 4″ square looms are easiest to work with but any size will be ok.

East Ohio Meeting

The EOHW will meet on Saturday, February 20 at 9:30 am at the Leetonia Library.   There is plenty of room to social distance in the Library meeting room. We enter through back door Рhit the handicap button as sometimes the door sticks Рit is very Covid safe.

Coverlet squares need to be done by May 12!

The program is a demonstration and a bit of history on weaving on a warp-weighted loom.

Coverlet Project

For those weavers who are participating in the coverlet project this year…

Gasper’s Garden is now open every day for business. It is a centralized location for drop off & pick up of yarn for the coverlet blocks. Wind the skein into 300 yard balls to exchange with the other weavers. Mary Ann will hold onto the balls and hand them out to whoever needs them to keep weaving.

I have seen several finished pattern blocks and this project is going to turn out beautifully!
