We just received notice that the Christmas Marketplace is currently planning to go on. It is November 7 & 8 at the Metroplex in Girard.
Please remember that this is a large, free space for the Guilds. We can sell what we want, but must do demonstrations. It is a great opportunity to attract new members.
So if you still have time on your hands…weave something!
The next meeting is Wednesday October 9 at 10 am at the Colonial Inn on the Canfield Fairgrounds.
We will be going over plans for the November demo & sale so bring your calendar & ideas. We also need to decide what the spring workshop will be this coming May. And show & tell – let’s see all that award winning weaving from the Fair!
The picnic scheduled for September 11 has been cancelled. So everyone continue weaving – we have a show in November to prepare for! The October meeting will be a lot of prep for the show and a lot of show & tell from the Fair. Congratulations to everyone who entered, it was a nice display of different articles. Photos are in the Gallery.
So the Youngstown Weaver’s have no meeting in June. There will be a stash relocation event in July, more on that later. If you would like to join the East Ohio field trip, please do.
The East Ohio Weavers are going on a field trip on June 15th to the Kent State Fashion Museum to see FOCUS:FIBER 2019. Meet at the Salem Airport at 9:00, the show event runs from 10 to 5 and we will go to lunch after seeing the exhibit. Admission is $6. We will also need to know a number of who will be attending so we can arrange car pooling or if you are meeting us there, so we can make sure we wait on everyone before heading in to the exhibit. Please let Sheila Cubick or Roxanne King know by June 12 so we can know how many to expect.
This is well worth the drive over to Harmony … The variety of weaving was amazing.
