Metroplex Holiday Marketplace 2021

Coming up on November 6 & 7…

Sales and demonstrations by YAWG & EOHW

If you are selling anything – please get your items to either Sheila or Tracy by Thursday November 4. Alternately, you can bring them during the set up on Friday November 5 between 11 am and 1 pm at the Metroplex (1620 Motor Inn Dr. Girard 44420)

And remember to label each piece clearly and have a separate list of all your items for Sheila in case tags fall off. Demonstration sign up is through Sheila…reserve your time now…

East Ohio Meeting Reminder

The EOHW will meet on Saturday, October 16th at the 9:30 am at the Leetonia Library. Enter the building through the back, the meeting room is immediately on the left.

This months program is card weaving. Kits will be provided of the cards and yarn. Please bring quick clamp and backstrap or inkle loom or frame loom (some tool to have a fixed end to the warp), flat shuttle with knife edge and standard weaving stuff. Contact Tracy with questions…

YAWG Meeting Reminder

The Youngstown Area Weavers Guild will meet Wednesday Oct 13 at 10 am in the Colonial Inn on the Canfield Fairgrounds.

The program will be candy canes braided on a kumihimo disc. Please bring:

  •  32 slot braiding disc
  • red and white yarns, rat tail or embroidery floss – the two colors should be the same thickness
  • 1-2 oz weight
  • small needle nose or round nose pliers, if you have them

There are a limited number of discs available, if you need one please contact Tracy.
