Attention Demonstrators…

Tuesday Liz, Ken, Marty & Sheila went to the Expo center and got our booth set up. It is an impressive array of our skills! Watch for a TV appearance sometime Wednesday on channel 21 promoting the event.

Saturday demonstrators should arrive by 9:30 am. Park at the end of the side lot and enter through the side door. We are located straight through the double doors against the wall on the left. Sheila or another Guild member will give you a bracelet to come & go all day. Anyone coming in later, call Sheila’s cell phone and someone will meet you with a bracelet.

Have your items for sale and a list of them with a description and price for Sheila to keep track of sales.
Any concerns or questions, contact Sheila.

October 10 Meeting

Our next meeting is October 10 at 10 am at the Colonial Inn on the Canfield Fairgrounds.

We will be getting organized for the upcoming craft expo and demos in November. For planning of space and product, here is what Sheila must have during the meeting:

What will you be demonstrating?

  • Weaving – what type and on what equipment
  • Spinning – what type, wheel or drop
  • Other techniques covered by our Guild – lacemaking, knitting, kumihimo, baskets

What times during the 2 days will you be available to demonstrate?

What types of product and approximately how many will you be bringing to sell? Sheila only needs a rough idea at this time in order to have enough table space and display racks. A detailed list will need to be provided that weekend.

Another demonstration opportunity…

Marilyn will be demonstrating at The Church of the Brethren’s Festival  (Western Reserve Rd near Rt 7 in Boardman) on October 13 from 11 am til 2 pm. Please consider taking a few hours to join her and spread the weaving and spinning word. Talk to Marilyn at the meeting.

Rosepath Sampler Workshop – Spread the word…
