The Youngstown Area Weavers will meet on Wednesday October 14, 10 am at the Colonial Inn on the Canfield Fairgrounds. As everyone knows, our group is small and the room is large, so there are no worries about distancing, bring your mask and a coffee cup. There will be coffee & tea available and some snacks.
We will be deciding on what the Guild will be doing for the next year for programs, workshops… so have some ideas ready to toss around. Also, bring show & tell – with all this at-home time, there ought be lots to show!
Don’t forget the upcoming Spinning & Weaving Week! Check out all the great sales at HGA’s website – SWW Sales
This came from Barb & the Canfield Spinning Guild:
You are cordially invited to a De-Stash Event.
WHEN: Sat., Sept. 26, 2020 (Rain or Shine)
WHERE: Fair Park, Canfield, OH
TIME: 9 am – Noon
I don’t know about you, but as I’ve cloistered in my home these past few months, I’ve come to the conclusion that I need to de-clutter and de-stash. Can you relate? Maybe you’re new to the game and wish to increase your stash pile(s). We certainly understand. Well, now is your opportunity to venture out for a few hours and either farm out or adopt fiber!
We will be meeting in Fair Park (rain or shine) under the main pavilion. Since Fair Park is a first-come-first have situation, I’ll be there around 7:30 AM to hold our spot. Please bring whatever you wish to sell, swap, or give away. All we ask is that you duly mark your fiber(s)/yarn(s) into said categories. We will be observing social distancing and mask wearing. If you’d like to bring your wheel and spin a bit, please do so. (Knitting and crochet needles and drop spindles are welcome, too.)
If you decide to sit a spell, please bring your own lawn chair, libations, and dress for the weather. I hope to see a great many of you on the 26th. More importantly, I hope you all will take everything I bring because I don’t want it coming back home with me! 😊 Winter is coming and Christmas will be upon us before we know it. Nothing says “love” like a hand-crafted gift. Come on out and let your creative juices flow!!!
This came in through the website. If anyone is interested, contact me for the seller’s direct contact information. She requested it not be made public.
Due to Coronavirus and Covid-19, unfortunately I must sell my loom. This has hit my family very hard with loss of life as well as loss of employment, therefore forcing me to consider what I need vs. what I want. I do not need my loom. If you know of anyone who is interested in purchasing it for a fair price please provide them with my email address. It includes 8 harnesses, two reeds (10 & 12), shuttles, a sley hook and a warping board. I am unable to attach photos but have them available. I live near New Castle and could deliver if need be. I thank you in advance for your help. Sincerely, April
