No Meeting June 18!
The next meeting is a dye day on Sunday, June 26 at Mary Ann’s. Set up will be at 1:00 and last until 4:00. It will be a pot luck. Electric will be available and dye equipment and supplies for dyeing wool, silk and cottons will be on hand. Contact Monica with any questions.
Demonstrations at the Canfield Fair will be Thursday Sept 1, starting at 10 am. Contact Marilyn to sign up and get entrance passes. There is a limited number of tickets.
Youngstown Area Weavers will meet on Wednesday June 1 at 10 am in the Colonial Inn on the Canfield Fairgrounds.
The program is hands-on traditional tie dying…yes the 70’s are back! Dyes will be provided, please bring the following supplies:
Bucket or tub to hold wet shirt
Rubber bands if you have them
Rubber gloves, surgical or kitchen
Old hand or kitchen towel or paper towels for spills
Wear old clothes, you will likely get splattered! If there are any questions, contact Sheila
East Ohio Handweavers will meet this Saturday, May 21 at 9:30 am at the Leetonia library. Enter through the back to get to the meeting room.
The program is beginning card – or tablet – weaving. Full kits will be provided, you need only to bring scissors . Optional equipment will be an inkle or card loom, backstrap set-up, C-clamp or heavy cord to secure the warp while weaving. A stick or flat shuttle if you have a favorite.
The Youngstown Area Weaver’s will be meeting Wednesday May 4 at 10 am at Tracy’s house in Salem. We will be going through 18 boxes of periodicals for the guild library, organizing and sorting out duplicates. Bring a lunch.
Please note – there are steep stairs to get to the library and there is a hand-rail.
